Forbidden Siren
Next up on Upbeat is another hotly anticipated promotion which sees the return of TrancEye, this time partnering up with Sergey Nevone to produce a stunning call to arms for trance lovers the world over in the form of 'Forbidden Siren'. After first gracing our roster with a pristine remix of 'Fury' by Shaun Ansari last year, we have been aching to lay our hands on a TrancEye original and 'Forbidden Siren' is every bit as good as expected. The original sets a benchmark of stunning altitude with thick basses and sharp plucky melodies sitting over smooth and rhythmic key changes with a beautifully complex main lead melody to boot. Phil Stringer lands under his Sulaco alias following fame on Crystal Clouds and Abora to bring us grooving basslines and twisted portamento synth stabs with a spacey breakdown and a rolling main section. Next up returns Viktor Szabo as Cloudriver, bringing a crisp kick and a throbbing low bassline. The soft pads reflect the original melody perfectly, finished off with a sparkling and uplifting pluck melody. Finally Tranzition makes his Upbeat debut with a fire breathing monster of a remix, definitely the deepest and darkest of the pack. Searing leads and crisp percussion sit atop squelching sub-basses and a stomping kick and massive growling bassline arrangement.
